The philosophy of the Agia Paraskevi Basketball Academy is to foster and develop a genuine love for sport among young athletes, supporting them in developing their skills while teaching them life values that will help them succeed both on and off the court.
Training and competition programs, admission criteria, coaching appointments, objectives and priorities are the sole responsibility of the Club’s Board of Directors and are implemented under the continuous supervision of the Coaches, Team Managers and the Academy Technical Director, in cooperation with the Parents/Guardians and the Athletes.
Margarita Malama competed as an athlete at a high level, including appearances with the Greek National Team.
As a coach, she has guided youth development teams across all age groups at clubs such as AEK, Amynthas and Pefki, as well as within the Greek National Teams’ development program for U16 boys and U13 girls.
She is a graduate of the Department of Physical Education and Sport Science (TEFAA) and holds two Master’s degrees, specializing in “Maximization of Athletic Performance” and “Sport Management.”
Kostis Alexopoulos is a graduate of the Department of Physical Education and Sport Science (TEFAA) and holds an A Category Basketball Coaching Diploma. He has more than five years of coaching experience in youth development programs at clubs including KAO Melission, Athinaikos, ES Nea Makri and Antetokounbros Academy.
From 2021 to 2025, he was a member of the coaching staff of the men’s team of KAO Melission, gaining valuable coaching experience at national-level competitions (National League 2).
Angeliki Bakalaki competed as an athlete at a high level and has more than 25 years of coaching experience with youth development and adult teams.
She is also a Greek Basketball Federation Regional Coach, responsible for U12 boys’ and girls’ development groups in Central Greece and the islands.
She is a graduate of the Department of Physical Education and Sport Science (TEFAA) and works as a coach in educational institutions.
Manos Terzis began playing basketball at the Olympiacos Academy before moving to GS Peristeri, where he won the ESKA U16 Boys’ Championship with the club’s youth team.
He began his coaching career at the GS “Artemis Acharnon” Academy, working with youth development teams.
He is a certified basketball coach and an active basketball player.
Andreas Tsourouflis began playing basketball at the Agia Paraskevi Basketball Academy, where he played through the U18 Boys’ team.
He is an active basketball player and has been a member of the Academy’s coaching team for the third consecutive year.
He is a certified basketball coach and is also studying Physical Education at the University of Strasbourg through SCG College.
